Guide Horse Wins at World Championship Horse Show For the latest in miniature horse headlines visit: http://www.guidehorse.com/law_n_news.htm Scout, our latest guide horse trainee attended the World Class Miniature Horse Show World Championships in North Carolina in September 2004. Beating-out more than 25 contenders, Scout, a stunning white Medicine Hat Overo, took third-place in the world championship color class.
This class is judged primarily on coat color, but it also factors-in good manners and conformation. Scout’s handler was an 8-year-old volunteer groom for the Guide Horse Foundation and this was her first time showing a horse! Her mother tells me that Scout is now her hero!
While it is not the intent of the Guide Horse Foundation to acquire expensive show-quality horses, it was very pleasing to know that Scout possesses the whole package. Scout has exceptional guiding skill, high intelligence, piercing blue eyes, and now, a third-place world champion! Get the Book!
