Cuddles

Cuddles wearing winter fuzzies and her tennies

Cuddles is a one year-old red roan filly who currently measures 22 inches tall. She is expected to mature to 25 or 26 inches in height and she is in excellent health. Cuddles has already demonstrated excellent learning skills and responds to numerous voice commands. Cuddles has also been taught to lie-down when she is waiting for her handler while on duty.

Cuddles is scheduled to be the first Guide Horse placed into full-time service with a blind person. She will join Dan Shaw of Ellsworth Maine in June, 2001 after she successfully completes the training program and passes the physical certification for service exam.

Cuddles was donated by novelist Patricia Cornwell.
